I was at the hospital the whole day, accompanying my grandma. I was shocked when I returned to see the mother fish hiding behind the ornament, too ashame to face me. Merely 3 days... and all the eggs were gone. Eaten by their mom.

It was my fault. I shouldn't have hesitated to scoop up the eggs and place them in a safer spot. I was worried that if I did, the eggs would get disturbed and dispersed throughout the whole tank making it harder to retrieve them. Moreover, I don't have an extra set of tank and equipments to keep the eggs surviving.

Let this be a lesson learnt. The next time they lay eggs again... I swear that I'll be the first to scoop them up and place them safe. Make sure they hatch? You bet!
