Project 139: Cuts
Aim: To investigate the degree of pain for various kinds of cuts.
Literature Review: Failed to find any relevant journals.
Experimental Procedure:
Slice the tip of a middle finger with an A4 size paper(white) to about 1mm. The depth of cut should reach to an extend where the blood doesn't ooze out but can still be seen. Do not apply medication or do anything to it. Next, ask myself: Pain?
Pierce the thumb with a piece of glass to about 5mm. The cut should be deep enough to allow oozing of blood. Next, ask myself: Pain?
Results and Discussion:
Paper cut is more pain than glass cut. Hence if one should cut oneself accidentally, one can lessen the pain by lengthening the cut to more than 5mm or intensifying the it till it bleeds.
