My oh my, it seems quite some time since I last logged on to my blogspot account. I almost forgot my password. -_-!
Nothing happening's happening lately, or should I say I'm too lazy to update. However, my conscience felt itself today, saying it's time to change the song of my blog. I bet you guys are tired of hearing "One Last Cry by Brian McKnight" But I sure love this song. Full of feelings, no?
By the way, I was trying to crystallize my starting compound, on simple term, a rhenium dppp complex over the weekend. I left it overnight in the fridge, hoping to get some crystals today. GUess what? I succeeded! I was overjoyed and excited. My boss wanted me to do this so that I can take a X-ray of it but I failed upon many attempts last year and gave up.
Too bad my boss wasn't around. So my labmate recommend I call boss' best friend Proff L for help on X-ray. He was out for lunch hence couldn't reach him on the phone. Then my friend, who once published a paper on a compound he had crystallized, brought me to the X-ray room to check out whether this compound has been X-rayed before. Alright, bad news. After drawing the very complicated rhenium complex on the software and upon clicking search. They have one hit.
Worse still. Guess who the journal belonged to? Proff L! -_-! I'm glad he didn't pick up that phone man. So embarrassing.
Anyway, I did my homework this time round. Rhenium dppf has not been worked on yet. I'm working hard on this crystal this week. Hmmm... by right, this is not the scope of my fyp but who cares. I'm enjoying crystallizing. Sounds cool to me. =P
Oh, back track a little, playing sad songs doesn't mean I'm sad k. Well, sometimes the songs do reflect how I'm feeling but no guarantee. I just love 'em ya. =)
